Ho-Oh is among my favorite legendaries as well. It's the best-looking of all the avian legendaries, it has a decent mythology set up around it that doesn't just make it into an overpowered creator deity that makes no sense for a mere mortal to capture (I'm looking at you, Sinnoh's legendaries), it has a cool signature move, and it has a nice gameplay niche. I also really like that it's a Fire-type with a different color scheme than just "orange, orange everywhere".
